Work and research experience
  • Dr. Kumar is currently a Research Fellow at the National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management on a research project funded by the Department of Biotechnology (Sonepat, India). The aim of research is to development of non-toxic nanoformulations using plant based starch and essential oils as an alternative of fungicides to shelf life extension of citrus fruits.
  • Dr. Kumar also investigated the effects of different drying (freeze, tray and oven) methods and solvents (methanol, ethanol, water, acetone and hexane) extraction effects were investigated on the physicochemical properties and quantity of bioactive compounds of pomegranate waste peel.
